Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the SafeguardMDM web dashboard and public site, in line with Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in Italy and the supervisory authority's guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools.

1. What we use

We use only technical cookies and local storage. We do not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that track you across sites.

2. Why we do not ask for consent to all of them

Consent is not required for technical cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested, or that store a preference you set yourself. That is the position under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC and the supervisory authority's cookie guidelines. Everything in the table above falls into that category, which is why the dashboard works without you accepting anything.

If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary — analytics or anything used for profiling — we will ask for your consent first through the banner, we will not set it before you agree, and refusing will be as easy as accepting.

3. Managing your choices

• The consent banner in the dashboard records your choice and can be reopened from dashboard settings
• Your browser lets you block or delete cookies; blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in from working
• Clearing local storage resets your language and theme preferences

4. Mobile applications

The mobile applications do not use cookies. They store your session token and preferences in the operating system's protected app storage, and use device identifiers only to deliver push notifications. Crash and diagnostic reporting in the applications is described in the Privacy Policy.
